Wicked Good Cupcakes

The Wicked Good Cupcakes is an online business which sells cupcakes to consumers over the Internet. This cupcakes are well packaged and shipped over to the consumer once the cupcake has been purchased on the web. Before the time the owners of the company Tracey Noonan and daughter Danielle Derechos were running the company by themselves, their revenue over a year was about $22,400. Once they were featured on Shark Tank, with the investment of Mr. Wonderful himself (Kevin O’Leary), their sales skyrocketed. Shark tank has a daily reach of about 10 million people on a Friday night which is the time the show is aired. Once the show aired, they began to trend, and in 74 days, Kevin O’Leary got back his investments in the company. They used the media and digital marketing to propel them to get such insane results.  Now the company is on track to generate $3 million in revenue.
This comes to show the power of the media, tv and digital marketing. Once they aired online on that fateful Friday night they started running real high end engaging ads which also propelled sales because they have gotten enough social proof from the shark tank. So shark tank just provided the company free marketing because of the show their by giving them a foundation to be able to scale.
