Is MLM dead?

IS MLM DEAD
Now you may ask, what type of marketing is this, this is where people get other people to sign up under their program and then they get paid for your referral and the process continues. So going back to the question is MLM dead, I say it is not dead to some particular people. I believe if a person has a talent in sales, he or she might thrive greatly in MLM type of marketing. Using myself as an example of someone who had participated in MLM programs. The program has been quite underwhelming for me, especially when I'm the type of person that likes making money from the comfort of my bed. Also, I am not that good at following up with potential leads, all I know how to do well is provide the leads in the first place. But if you know a lot about MLM, you'll know the follow-up face is as critical as the onboarding stage of the lead. The way I viewed MLM, was what I thought was wrong, I viewed it has real estate where, once you buy or enroll, you begin to get reoccurring revenue from it, but it wasn't like that. Also if you are not an outgoing person who can convince people emotionally, I really don't see this business ideally for you. I have not against people in it, but I always tell people, before entering it, you have to be sure you have the right qualities to succeed in it.
One of the most paramount reasons I also despise it is because people who are at the top chain basically are the people really making the big buck because they leave off other peoples work. I believe the industry is really changing and modes of marketing have to change over time, but so far, this has not changed because for some reason it works to those who can effectively use it. So far in my 20 yrs of living, I have been involved with about 3 MLMs and I have come to the conclusion that it is not for ME! Coming from someone who makes a living online, I've found there just better ways that you can market your products or yourself rather than joining all these companies affiliate programs that pay you pennies of that they are truly making. A good example of this would be iMarkets live, which is a program that gets people in to learn how to trade stocks and bonds. I think the entree fee is about $200, but I wonder the people making $500,000 per month which is quite high, how much they think the damn owner of the iMarkets himself is making out of it. Your guess is as good as mine, hundreds of millions. So my reason against it might be bias because of the entrepreneurship mindset I have, but still, it is worth considering. I believe if you are a creator and inventor, you would see the flaw in the drama of joining an MLM program.
Using myself as an example, the second MLM I was involved, I feel I was just well pitched too by the idea. Which is why I always say you have to be a good salesperson to be able to effectively thrive in the MLM niche. Looking at the amount of money I spent on entering both programs, I have spent roughly over $1500 in total and I can say, if I spent that money on another event, I would have yielded a better return on investment than wasting my energy in the various MLM programs I was affiliated with. So I would suggest, if your good at sales, go with it, and if your not good at sales DON'T TRY IT!
